Practice

Inclusive circus practice emerges through doing things together.

Our projects are learning spaces—for participants, partner organisations and the continued development of methods.

Project examples from 2026

School · Holiday project

Verborgene Stärken

An inclusive project with Helen Keller School and Roxy. Functional Juggling, Social Circus and the aesthetic integration of assistance create different ways to participate.

Older people · Neighbourhood

Senior:innen in Bewegung

Regular movement activities in Silberhöhe combine physical activity, social connection and training for local facilitators.

Children & young people

Bühnenreif!

An ongoing course, a holiday week and a final performance combine learning, creative development and stage experience.

Neighbourhood · Holidays

Zirkus Waldstadt

Workshops and holiday activities are developed with local partners around the interests and possibilities of the neighbourhood.

Questions we explore in our projects

  • How can materials and tasks offer more than one way in?
  • How can assistance become part of the aesthetic rather than being hidden?
  • How can participants shape decisions and processes?
  • Which methods can transfer to other groups and contexts?
  • How can experience be documented so that others can learn from it?

From experience to shared knowledge

Practice is not the end of a project. Insights feed into professional development, method design and our open knowledge resources. Collaboration with universities and research partners helps us examine observations systematically.

Develop a project together?

We work with schools, cultural venues, social organisations, universities and circus organisations.
